Warrior Hockey Equipment Do Pros Use It?

Even though hockey has seen somewhat a delcine in popularity over the years, there have been some new hockey equipment companies that have been popping up.  I shouldn’t say new, but I should say getting more popular.  Warrior Hockey Equipment has definitely been getting more popular with hockey players.  Why is that?  Well it’s got a cool name like Warrior.  It’s also got crazy cool graphics and designs all over it’s equipment.  One thing as of writing this, that I’ve noticed is that I haven’t seen many pros use it.  Now I’m going to take a quick break and see if I can find any pro nhl players that use Warrior hockey gear.  So In the next paragraph I will give you the answer.

Ok, I did some searching and I have an answer.  Not many appear to use this hockey equipment.  Some do.  I checked yahoo answers and it says that some players on the Detroit Red Wings use Warrior hockey sticks.  Now, if they had a pair of hockey skates, I bet

Chicago Black Hawks

McLaughlin had really worked very hard for the development of the team, despite the fact that he had no clear understanding of the sport. He had served as his own general manager during the time, he had owned the team. He had a great interest in the promotion of American hockey players, which was not a very popular trend at the time. There were many great names like Doc Romnes, Taffy Abel, Alex Levinsky, Mike Karakas, Cully Dahlstrom and others, become attached with the club, and under McLaughlin, the Black Hawks were the first NHL team to field an all-American-born lineup. The Hawks’ had a fair one first season and finished near the top of the league’s scoring race. The Black Hawks had lost their 1927 first-round playoff series to the Boston Bruins, who had made the playoffs for the first time ever. It is interesting that the Blackhawks were recognized as the worst team in the NHL at that time.

McLaughlin changed the

San Jose Sharks History

San Jose Sharks History

The San Jose Sharks are located in San Jose, California. They are a pro ice hockey team in the Pacific Division of the NHL’s Western Conference. The Sharks play their home games in the HP Pavilion at San Jose.

San Jose had to go through a lot to get a hockey team in the Bay Area. Many people do not consider Northern California to be a good hockey area in America but that area once had two hockey teams. After nine straight losing seasons and meager attendance, the California Golden Seals were moved to Cleveland, OH and became the Barons.

George and Gordon Gund had wanted for a while to bring hockey back to the area but the NHL vetoed the move. Howard Baldwin and others also wanted to bring a hockey franchise to the Bay Area where a new arena was getting constructed. The NHL struck a compromise. In the compromise, the Gunds would have to sell their share of the North Stars team to Baldwin’s group, and the Gunds would receive an expansion

History of the NHL

The National Hockey League now comprises of 30 professional teams in most major cities in North America.  It has a long, decorated history and legions of fans in both the United States and Canada.  The league owes its existence to a 1917 meeting held in a Montreal hotel between several team owners.

The Montreal Canadiens, Montreal Wanderers, Ottawa Senators, and Quebec Bulldogs at that time were all apart of the National Hockey Association (NHA).  The owners of these teams underwent a series of disputes with Eddie Livingstone, owner of the Toronto Blueshirts.  At this meeting, the owners voted to suspend the NHA.  On November 26, 1917, the four teams formed to make a new league, and the National Hockey League was born.

The Bulldogs were unable to play in the NHL, and the remaining owners created a team in Toronto.  In its early days, the league champions had to compete with other league champions to get the Stanley Cup – the

From Yzerman to Lidstrom

When Steve Yzerman became the captain of the Detroit Red Wings in 1986, everyone had thought Jacques Demers had lost his noodle.  He was the youngest captain in the franchise’s history and in the NHL at the time.  Now we all have the pleasure of hindsight, but 22 years ago Demer’s saw something special.  Steve Yzerman is easily considered one of the best captains in NHL history.  Being the longest serving captain of one team his entire career is quite an achievement.  After such a long tenure, how is it that it was such an easy transition to the current captain, Nick Lidstrom?

When Yzerman became captain, he was quiet and shy.  He basically led by example on the ice.  His smooth play.  He had six consecutive 100+ point seasons.  He was rarely penalized.  When Scotty Bowman took over the team in 93-94 season, he took over a team that had been struggling for decades.  He immediately looked to the captain to help turn that around.  Scotty Bowman

Wacky Sports Facts That WILL Impress Your Friends

We have all heard them; the kind of sports trivia that do not mean anything to the world, such as the baseball player with the highest career batting average on Wednesday night games. Or statistics on whether or not a golfer will score a better round while wearing red. We all have that one friend who keeps track of these meaningless factoids and uses them to impress people. The following facts, however, are sure to not only impress your friends, but stump them and leave them wanting to find more on their own.

Coors Field, the stadium in which the Colorado Rockies play their home games, is built at the highest elevation in Major League Baseball at 5,183 feet above sea level. At about 1,500 feet elevation, the next highest baseball stadium in the league is, surprisingly, Chase Field in Phoenix, AZ, home of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Phoenix is located in a valley and does not have a high elevation, but it just so happens that most other MLB stadiums are built

Look out for Detroit, Ottawa in Stanley Cup Playoffs

Look out for Detroit, Ottawa in Stanley Cup Playoffs

History is on the side of the Red Wings, about 4-1 in a consensus of several sportsbooks odds-makers. Of 21 trips to the finals, the team has carried home the cup 10 times. The Senators, 5-1, have captured the cup only once: 1926-27.

Detroit posted the NHL’s best record, 58-16, successfully blending an aging core of players and a stellar group of youngsters. But the Red Wings must dispose of early round foes quickly so they can survive a possible grueling seven-game war in the finals.

Leader Steve Yzerman is playing like he did when the team won back-to-back cups starting in 1996-97.

His 1,300th career point in the playoffs boosted him to second all-time on the team. Experiencing his first championship, the center was third in overall playoff points. The following year, the longtime Red Wings captain, 40, led playoff scoring with 24 points.

Nicklas Lidstrom, maybe the top NHL defenseman, dominates with quick puck movement and
