They made it to the league as an expansion team in 1993. In the same year they drafted Paul Kariya in the very first round of the NHL Entry Draft. Nhl Stanley Cup – June’s Finalist Battle

In the Eastern Conference, champions of the Atlantic, Northeast, and Southeast divisions automatically reach the playoffs, and they will be joined by the teams with the next five best records. It’s the same in the Western Conference; the five best non-division winners will advance along with the champions of the Central, Northwest, and Pacific divisions.

Home-ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs goes to the three division winners in each conference, seeded 1 through 3 based on best record and the No. 4 seed, the team with the next best record. No. 1 plays No. 8, 2 plays 7, 3 plays 6, and 4 plays 5. In the second round, the highest advancing seeded faces the lowest remaining seed, with the two middle seeds squaring off.

In all rounds leading up to the Stanley Cup finals, between the winner of the Eastern Conference and the winner of the Western Conference, the higher seed in a series always has home-ice advantage, which means that

Profiting From the Death and Rebirth of Urban Centers the Case With Detroit

After many urban centers in the United States fell into decline for the last five decades, a new revitalization movement has successfully swept the nation. From the West Coast to the East Coast, urban areas are seeing a rebirth, economically and culturally. America’s re-focus on the local economy, as well as independent businesses, has led to the growth in appeal of urban centers.

In addition, the lure of city centers continues to grow stronger with large segments of the population, including younger professionals, empty-nest couples, and individuals without children. The convenience of living downtown, with work and entertainment options, along with the excitement of enjoying the city, has prompted many urban deaths to be re-born.

With that said, the question remains: Will Detroit real estate enjoy the rebirth of urban renaissance?

The History Of Hockey Town

In Hockey Town, there’s only one team to root for — the Detroit Red Wings. The team currently resides just a luxury sedan or limo ride away at Joe Louis Arena, located in downtown Detroit. Here are some team historical highlights:

1920s – The Red Wings go all the way back to the old Western Hockey League, when the Victoria (British Columbia) Cougars were sold to a group from Detroit on September 25, 1926. The team played its home games in Windsor, Ontario. The Victoria Cougars had won the Stanley Cup in 1925 and were Cup finalists in 1926, but the Detroit Cougars finished 12-28-4; the NHL’s worst record for the 1926-27 season.

Help came in 1928, in the form of Jack Adams as the team’s coach and general manager. Adam’s tenure as coach and GM would last until the 1962-63 season, when Sid Abel took over. With Adams at the helm, the team made the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.

The team also moved into
